I think that if any changes need to be done to this law that that the changes should make it harder for telemarketers to send out their spam mails. If you change the rules to allow easier use of electronic, automatic, dailing, that the market, the everyday consumer will be flooded with these auto calls. The telemarketers are flat out lying when they say they would only send to former or existing business. They will start sending to everyone and then later claim it was a mistake. The telemarketers say that all you have to do is contact them and that your phone number will be removed from their mailing list, well thats another fat lie. They got my number in Texas and I couldn't get rid of the unwanted calls no matter what I did and know matter how many times I contacted their removal number. I had a fax line that I used for medical reasons to communicate with my daughters and my wifes doctors and the hospital, both have serious medical conditions, and the telemarketers got ahold of that number and continued to flood me with spam faxes at all hours of the day and night. Despite my repeated contacting of their removal number the harrassment continued until I discontected the fax. Then they tried to fax me over my regular phone number dispite the fact that I was registered on the do not call list. Their, the telemarketers, total lack of concern for the law and my families privacy put my family at rick, but they didn't care. I would like to see a lot more and bigger fines against the telemarketers, not a slacking up of the laws against them. Thank You. Michael D. Balbi
