Dear Commissioners: I strongly object to any provision that would allow pre-recorded messages to be sent to my telephone, by anyone. Two aspects bother me. 1- I do not appreciate nor see the need for intrusion of my home at times inconvenient or unplanned by me. I can search out businesses "with whom I have an established relationship" at times I wish. They do not have any right to come into my home uninvited. If I choose to watch TV, turn on my computer or radio, that is my choice to deal with advertisments also. But either answering the phone or having messages on my answering machine from someone offerring business deals etc. is not of my volition; just because they are in business does not give them the right to my time. 2- Simply being a customer of a business should not entail giving up my privacy to that business. I do not believe dealing with any business, bank, credit card company, telephone or cable company as a customer should include a waiver of my "rights" to personal peace and quiet. In addition, too many businesses consider filling out an entry form or website form to be "establishing" a business relationship. This proposed change is a bad idea, against the spirit and (as of now) the letter of this rule. Please do not change it. Please convey to any business group or person advocating for it that I will consider it a reason to never use their services if this "technique" is used to contact me. Respectfully submitted, David Pomeroy
