Please reconsider this amendment! The millions of citizens who have signed up for the No Call list did so to get relief from the unwanted intrusion of commerce into our homes via our telephones. We can avoid advertising by turning off the tv, closing the magazine and using popup blockers on the internet. I sort my mail daily - most of it straight into the trash. I cannot turn off my telephone. I need it on so my elderly mother can reach me if she needs help or if my children need to contact me. I understand that these businesses are trying to earn a living, but those of us on the list have basically told them- we do not want to do business with you - at least not over the telephone. I don't even want to hear from a business I already do business with. If they want to solicit additional business from me, they can find an alternate method to reach me. Again, this rule change does nothing for the consumer who has already spoken out in huge numbers - Leave us alone!
