I sincerely hope that you will not allow the delivery of pre-recorded message telemarketing to American consumers. We have only recently arrived at the point where most of the bothersome and annoying phone calls have stopped for those of us who signed up for the Do Not Call Registry. To allow the delivery of pre-recorded messages to my telephone would mean that I would face the unhappy prospect of finding long messages on my answering machine when I return home. I have had to suffer these in the past before the Do Not Call Registry became effective and these calls are extremely bothersome because I have to listen to the entire message before I am able to erase it. Furthermore I do not believe that unscrupulous businesses will abide by the rule that they can only call existing customers. This will serve to start an entire new phase of fighting off these unwanted marketing ploys. I beg you, please, do not allow this to happen. Bob Wilbur, Birmingham, Alabama
