Since joining the do not call list the level of calls reaching my home has reduced to the level that is reasonable. No business with which I have a legitimate relationship has had any problem reaching me. However, several businesses have still called me claiming that we have a business relationship. Once I indicated that I would report them to the do not call list as violators their legitimate relationship vanished. I benifit from talking to a human being not a tape recorder. This will provision will be abused. I did not get a telephone to be solicited for sales of goods by either a human being or by a tape recorder. Please do not weaken the do not call list. I joined it voluntarily to avoid recieving calls. I still recieve calls from people violating the law. Weakening the provisions is simply an attempt to allow further abuse of the do not call list under the guise of "legitimate" business. I am against any change in the do not call list provisions. It is working for the people who do not want to be called.
