With all due respect, which part of the phrase "Do not call" is the FTC having a problem understanding? When I pro-actively put my phone number on a list called the "Do Not Call" list ... I expect not to be called. Especially in the case of having a recording played in my ear. Call me crazy. Millions of Americans have voiced their opinion on telemarketing by putting their phone numbers in the registry. We don't want to be called. If we needed something, we'd call them. Furthermore, they don't pay for my phone line, therefore I should have the right to dictate their use of it. Brian Roach
