I believe that this would be a terrible mistake. Pre-recorded calls are the worst sort of telemarketing. There's no way to find out which company is responsible for the disturbance. There's no way to have them add your number to their "Do Not Call" list. There's no way to talk to a real live person at all. Pre-recorded calls don't even employ the same number of people as live telemarketing does. With live telemarketing, you can find out who's responsible for the call, be placed on the "Do Not Call" list, and the person that you are talking with is receiving a paycheck instead of unemployment. Please do not make this change. The "Do Not Call" registry has been a great success. Let's keep it that way.
