Comments:
The American people have made it clear that they want an effective no-call list. Pre-recorded messages are far more offensive than calls by real people. Selling out to the industry on this issue is a grave breach of public trust and should result in a top-down restructuring of the agency, if not outright abolishment. The current law and regulations are an appropriate compromise between industry and the public. Upsetting the current balance by subjecting the public to more of the most offensive sort of telemarketing calls would be a grave error.
