|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I think it's a shame that one of the most successful consumer-friendly laws is now being watered down and that the FTC would even think about consenting (caving in) to the lobbyists. Do not call means do not call. A barrage of answering maching or voice mail messages is just as unwelcome as a person making telemarketing calls. Pre-recorded marketing calls are marketing calls first and only incidentally pre-recorded calls. P-L-E-A-S-E do not amend the current do not call legislation to allow pre-recorded calls. Thank you.
