Comments:
I urge you NOT to amend the current Telemarketing Sales Rule to allow pre-recorded telemarketing messages. This would be an unwelcome intrusion into our house. If you do decide to allow such calls, then I urge you to adopt an "opt-in" provision to let citizens request such calls. An "opt-out" provision puts the burden of preventing these calls on the recipient, rather than on the telemarketer, where it belongs. Please leave the Rule as it is. Thanks.
