Some might argue that a recorded message is less intrusive than a live call because there is no one to offend by hanging up on the machine, however, the annoying part of any call is the interruption of what ever it is you are doing. After receiving a flood of recorded political messages during the recent election season, I am of the opinion that recorded messages are worse than live calls because there is no easy way to communicate to the company that you don't want to receive their calls any more.
