Dear Sir/Madam, When I opted into the FTC's do not call list it seemed clear that the list would prohibit telemarketing from all but those businesses to which I had a pre-existing relationship. I would strongly oppose any additions or an amendment to this legislation that violates, what I feel, is the spirit of the law. We as consumers are bombarded with advertising from every direction. We have advertising on broadcast, as well as cable television, over the radio waves, through our mailbox, in elevators, driving down the highways, and more recently, our inboxes overflow with a variety of "offers". The “Do Not Call" list provides an oasis of quiet so that we may enjoy a pleasant dinner with our loved ones without being subjected to another sales pitch. American families need this time. I ask that the spirit not be violated. Thank you for your time, Jon Steuernagle
