I am strongly opposed to this rule change. The whole point of the "Do not call list" is that I don't want to be called. If anything it should be strengthened so that existing exemptions for charities are eliminated. Should an organization wish to contact me, they can do so via postal mail or email. Please don't cave into commercial pressure to erode the sanctity of my home which the do not call list helps to provide. If it raises the cost of business to sell me some good or service, then so be it, I'll do without that good or service. No good or service is so desirable that I'm willing to return to multiple calls every evening trying to sell me one piece of drek or another.
