What in the h3ll do you people think you are doing? I am simply appalled that you would consider selling out the do not call registry to telemarketers. I know you all certainly have a prerecorded script of weasel words justifying opening up regular folks to the incessant bother of unwelcome telemarketing. The prerecorded messages are the worst because there is usually no way to get the machine to stop calling you. Yes, I know, you have all sorts of provisions to prevent that sort of thing, but I guarantee you, the automated telemarketing people don't give a damn because there is usually no way to identify the caller and most times they just ignore the provisions anyway. If you think telemarketers will be honest about following your loophole, I think you are being naive. I think you need to remember who is paying the bills here. Its regular citizens who are sick to death of the continual interruptions and intrusions that want the do not call registry to WORK because they are the ones paying for it! I signed up for the do not call registry because I DO NOT WANT ANY TELEMARKETING CALLS WHATSOEVER. PERIOD. What is your major problem with understanding that? There is no company on Earth that I want to be calling me. NONE. If this loophole is coming about truly because the telemarketing people are buying it, then please consider additional changes like offering the Real, Working Do Not Call Registry on a subscription basis. I would gladly pay $100-$200 a year to not get telemarketing calls and I'm sure I'm not alone. Thank you. Greg Menke
