Dear Sirs, I fail to understand the reasoning behind this proposed amendment. The purpose of the Do Not Call lisgt was to curtail telemarketers from calling people unsolicited in their homes, why would it then be alright to be called by telemarketers, unsolicited, in your home, simply because the call is pre-recorded? This would deface and render impotent the purpose of the Do Not Call list! If the FCC is going to change it's mind and sell out they could at least be honest about it. It's called a Do Not Call list, I believe we all feel that means machines as well as human telemarketers. A VERY boneheaded, subversive piece of legislation that runs counter to the wishes of everyone on the List.
