I object to any weakening whatsoever of the Do Not Call list. Prerecorded messages are particularly annoying, and nothing should be done to encourage them. The FCC ought to bring its rules in line with those of the FTC. The list is one of the most useful things the federal government has done in the last few years. Don't mess it up. Instead, strengthen the protection by setting up a similar list for junk snail mail. We need a process by which we can compel junk mailers to remove us from their mailing lists.
