When I signed up for the Do Not Call list, it was because I did not want to be called. The fact that the message is recorded changes nothing. In fact, recorded messages are more irritating, as generally, automated systems are programed to call back if the entire message is not played. At least I can hang up on a live telemarketer. Also, how is a person to tell the machine that they want no further contact via phone. The National Do Not Call List is one of the shining examples of government hearing the people's cry and responding with the appropriate solution. Please do not allow these proposed changes. I enjoy having my phone back. It was the right thing to do. Do not back down now.
