To Whom this may concern, I will allow the telemarketing companies to call my house any time day or night..AS LONG I RECEIVE THE HOME PHONE NUMBER AND HOME ADDRESSES of the CEO's, President's, and other EXECUTIVE PERSONNEL of those companies so that I can interrupt their personal time they are spending with their familie's and loved ones. As long as I do not get a harassment suit filed against me for calling them every 15 minutes to express my concerns and issues of telemarketing. On the other side, I believe that businesses should call other businesses, I DON NOT believe in telemarketing at all, I occassionally allow them to finish their stupid 5 minutes of monotonous prompting and interruption of me trying to tell them IF I WANTED THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICE I WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM. I do understand that it is a business, but I consider it rude, obnoxious and downright ludicrous of paying someone to call my house and try and sell me something that I am not in the market for. I tell the person calling my house to take my name off any list and will file a harassment suit if they call back. In most cases, The companies I have told this have complied, however... In some cases that this change is calling for..I.E. credit card companies...Will use this loophole to once again annoy and interrupt my life with their constant calling and insisting I hear about some stupid product or promotion that I do not want or need. So In light of that...I believe that any sort of loophole given these companies, or future companies is undermining consumer protection that I agree with is the best that curbed the flood of incoming calls.... Furthermore, when is the same protection gonna be given to email spammers... I go thru at least 20-30 emails a day and have to delete 25-28 of them cuz of email spam, which I have never knowingly given my permission for any agency, company or individual to disseminate to other 3rd party agencies, companies or indiviuals. So the bottom line is...I DONT'T AGREE WITH THE LOOPHOLE PROPOSED OR ANY OTHER FUTURE LOOPHOLE to limit, degrade, or undermine the spirit of the law which proitects me and my family from telesurveys, telemarketing, or any other form of invasion into my life....As I have previously stated and will state again.... If I wanted their service or product...I WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR IT. Very Respectfully, Kevin Shelton
