We the American public are tired of being harrassed! We do not pay for a phone service so that others may use it for the purpose of peddling goods. We are not in any way interested in opening any safe harbor/exceptions. The list is called a "Do not call list". This means DON'T CALL US, we are not interested in purchasing your wares. The list should not be used for commercial purposes and I am appalled that the FTC; a government organization, could be swayed in this manner, but I guess once a politition always a crook. We are tired of the forty minutes of commercials for every hour of tv on the cable we pay for, and we are tired of the DMA that believes it is their right or privilige to call and harrass us on the phone we pay for. Next thing you know they will call us crooks for going to the bathroom instead of listening to their pitch. My answer boils down to : 1. No safe harbours. 2. No phone calls at dinner. 3. No phone calls at 10PM. 4. No phone calls at 6AM. 5. No phone calls ever. 6. There should be no exceptions for any group, non-profit, for-profit, or political. 7. The government should darn well work for the people instead of the corporation. 8. The idea of creating a "Do not call list" and then making exceptions for everyone and their brother to call me really pisses me off!
