Comments:
Having entrusted telephone numbers to the FTC's DNC list, in the hope that the level of marketing intrusion would diminish, and that the regime would soon cover more, not fewer calls, it is appalling to hear the FTC is considering weakening its rules. Since I warn all commercial contacts not to market to me by telephone, allowing this by FTC rule would be a considerable betrayal of the promise of the Do Not Call listing. Nor should the FTC weaken any rule that might increase the number, length and time of day of any unsolicited calls. It should be doing quite the opposite.
