|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:This proposed weakening of the rules would constitute an egregious violation of personal privacy. Suppose, for example, I cancelled a credit card because I felt the company was inundating me with annoying advertizing. The new ruling could be construed to allow them to call my phone repeatedly by machine.
