Allowing telemarketers use of the Do Not Call Registry would simply be supplying telemarketers with a ready made list of live numbers. There is no way to determine whether those being called have any sort of business relationship with the calling firm. In the email world addresses are placed on lists that are then sold or traded among "partners" and "associates" who the user has unwittingly agreed to recieve email from. I am also on the Indiana Do Not Call list and if the FTC believes I should receive spam calls I hope the Indiana list will protect me from the deluge of recorded messages wishing to sell me canadian viagra and get rich quick scams that we're sure to receive.
