Comments:
Any loosening of telemarketing rules is unnaceptable to taxpayers like myself who find such calls an invasion of privacy. I should not be forced to "opt-out" of something which I never "opted-into" in the first place. I pay for my telephone service, and no company has the right to call me for advertising purposes! When I spend my valuable time answering the phone in the privacy of my own home, it is because I expect that the person calling is someone I want to talk to. Make no mistake whom the FTC serves. It is taxpayers like myself who have repeatedly and loudly made their voices heard on the subject of telemarketing.
