I find that a change such as the proposed violates the basic ideas on which the current regulations were designed. I see no benefit for anyone under the proposed changes asside from businesses that wish to contact consumers that have clearly asked to not be contacted for any reason. "Established business relationship" is much too vague a term to appear in such a policy change. The approval of the proposed changes is completely unacceptable, and will only signal the FTC's willingness to appease companies at the price of consumer rights.
