To Whom It May Concern: I have been satisfied with the national Do Not Call Registry up until now. I had no idea that 'pre-recorded messages' were not considered telemarketing and not covered by the Do Not Call Registry. During this years election I was bombarded with political calls asking for a vote or support on some issue or another. I absolutely do not want anyone to use my phone number for any type of solicitation for any reason, even if it is a company I already have a business relationship with. I believe that my telephone is for my convenience and the convenience of my family, friends and national emergencies. "The National Do Not Call Registry was creatd bo make it easier and more efficient for people to stop getting telemarking calls they don't want." The Orange County Register 11/27/04. I ask you, isn't this clear enough? Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposal.
