The Do Not Call list should be exactly what its name implies. People who sign up for the Do Not Call list should not be called by _any_ telemarketer whatsoever. That includes "live" telemarketers as well as recorded messages. Period. This is especially important for those of us who do not have land lines, but have only cell phones. We have to pay for all incoming calls and should not be forced to pay for telemarketing calls that we did not ask for. Many telemarketers take the "established business relationship" clause to an absurd extreme - under their definition their unwanted, unsolicited calls constitutes "establishing" a business relationship. The FTC should be protecting consumers from this type of harassments - not encouraging the violation of our privacy nor aiding telemarketers in wasting our time and money in answering unwanted telephone calls. If I want to speak with a particular vendor, then their telephone number should be prominently listed on their website where I can find it easily. I should not have to go out of my way to prevent my time and money being wasted by unwanted telemarketing calls. Thank you for your consideration. Alan
