Telemarketing is an invasion of my privacy. Telemarketing should be illegal. I work different shifts and cannot be bothered by a telemarketing call. I need to leave my phone on in case of emergency calls. If this amendment is allowed, I will be awakened by a call that I do not want to receive. Besides, I refuse to purchase from anyone, anything sold over the phone. If we would make all telemarketing calls illegal, the marketing executives would be forced to use junk mail once again, which in turn could help revitalize our postal system and possibly reduce the frequency and amount of increases in postage rates.
