I am apalled that this wonderful program is going to be crippled. I pay for phone service. When I want someone to call me I give them my number and ask to call me. I don't want/need unsoliceted calls from someone that is trying to profit on my time and money. With TV, magazines, newspapers, etc., it is known that advertising pays for most of the service expense and that any sort of subscription/opt-in is implied to contain ads or solicits for business. With phone service, advertisers/telemarketers do not contribute to paying for this communications infrastructure and such service implies none such to be associated with said service. No matter the reason, unsoliceted calls of any sort are just that, UNSOLICTED! Please do not fall into the hands of these terrible groups that are trying to impose themselves on the public at the publics expense and peace of mind. As is with most businesses that I currently deal with, they ask if they may contact me further or have affilliates contact me and I say yes or no. Why does creating a loophole, that may very easily be exploited, need to exist instead of businesses just being honest and going with their customers' wishes. Also, why can't the beaurocracy that is todays excuse for a government just stand up and say NO. Just like poor parenting letting the spoiled children run things and wonder why things get worse.
