"Existing Business Relationships" are the most annoying of telemarketing calls, because you can't get the people making them to quit calling. I can still remember having a Qwest account in Fargo, ND and having them calling to try to sell me shit all the time. Even with my mobile phone I get unwanted phone calls, even though it is _illegal_ , the anti-phone-spam laws should be made more restrictive, not less so. Pre-recorded messages are even more annoying than being called by a person, and are more dangerous as there are few if any barriers to entry for a company to make thousands (or millions) of pre-recorded phone calls... think of e mail spam, if someone had to actually type up each one of those, rest assured they wouldn't be able to send out hundreds of thousands of them... It costs a person money every time someone telemarkets him/her. It decreases social tolerance, it interrupts activities - leading to decreased overall productivity, and otherwise wastes resources. Make the regulations favor the people, not the idiots calling during supper. -wmf
