I personally believe that the public has rejoiced in the creation of the original do-not-call registry, and that this measure is simply an industry-supported scheme to create a loophole in that system. The American public does NOT want to be subjected to telephone advertising, as should be obvious from the massive positive response to the do-not-call program. If this measure were to be approved, the American public would again be subjected to unwanted advertising and solicitation, not to mention an invasion of their personal privacy and the solitude of their homes. I highly encourage the commission to NOT approve this measure on behalf of the vast majority of Americans. Thank you.
