I am very strongly opposed to any increased allowance for the use of prerecorded telemarketing messages. The fact that these calls will supposedly be limited to those with an "established business relationship" does absolutely nothing to appease my concern. I've seen all too many situations where the most tenuous of "relationship" is used as a basis for continued telemarketing calls long past the point of annoyance. Additionally, automated, prerecorded calls are frustrating to deal with and frequently cause complications when attempting to get yourself removed from the calling list. Please do not allow the creation of an additional call abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message. I feel this would be a serious detriment to the public good.
