I cannot in all honesty believe that this is being proposed. After struggling with unwanted calls for years, my phone is almost mine again. Now, "existing business relationship" spam comes to my phone again? Certainly not, I hope and pray. As in the case of UCE, ANY loophole is soon enlarged past the point of ridiculous. Opt-OUT? As all the myriad and one spammers offer opt-OUT on UCE? Email is rapidly becoming unusable due to blatant abuse, so, why not have my phone go the same way? This is patently ludicrous, unwanted, and enraging in the extreme. I suffered through election season, receiving taped message after taped message from the exempt politicicians, and now to have THIS offered up? NO, NO, a THOUSAND times NO! If it comes down to it, I will simply do without a phone, for this creeping cancer of advertisements must be stopped somewhere.
