Only calls concerning customer-specific events on an existing business account should be permitted. If I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow I don't mind a pre-recorded reminder call. But I don't want such a call recommending a checkup, a new drug, or a prostate exam. I don't want to hear from my bank unless a check bounces. I DEFINITELY don't want want to hear from my bank's life insurance peddler!
