I signed up for the national do not call registry the moment I read about it. As the overwhelming interest in the do not call list demonstrated, the average citizen does not wish to be solicited at home. We expect and deserve privacy, without the fear of harassment, when we are in the comfort of our own homes. There are many other forms of advertising that reach into our homes, but none do so in such an intrusive manner as do unwanted phone calls. Television, radio, and Internet content are *requested*. We turn it on or off, and *tune in* to what we want. Most paper and electronic mail we receive at our homes are undesired junk-mail or spam, but as annoying as these are, they can be discarded at our discretion. None of these, except telemarketing calls, ever show up for dinner unvited. Thank you for this opportunity to speak out on this subject, --Zach Anthony
