Comments:
I strongly oppose any effort to weaken the Do Not Call measure. It makes no difference if the message is pre-recorded; in fact if anything a pre-recorded message is even more objectionable because the phone owner is being harassed by a machine. Americans have opted on to the list for a purpose. Creating a loophole for computers does nothing to further that purpose. If the FTC were to allow this loophole they will be considered by the public to be assisting spam. Please do NOT create a loophole. Those of us writing these comments will be angrily writing our elected representatives next.
