How completely absurd!! Recorded messages are worse than live operators .... what better way can you think of to raise the collective blood pressure of the country? If a person calls you can ask to be taken off their list; ask to be called back at another time (on the slim chance that you're interested in the call); whatever -- you have some semblence of control over the situation. If a computer calls you have *NOTHING*. Hang up or listen .... that's it. The only outcome of this course of action that I can see is a lot of damaged telephones (perhaps even broken windows) and a hefty boost in the pharmacutical industry. Don't do it. Our sanity is worth more than this.
