Please don't propose this amendment. Citizens expect the government to protect the citizens of the United States, not the telemarketers! We are inundated with advertisements in almost every aspect of our lives… on the radio on the way to work, billboards, magazines, when we open our mail, when we turn on the TV at night. Allow us some reprieve in our own homes! The phone is something we can not avoid answering, which is why this form of marketing is an especially hot contended problem. Finally, telemarketers are known to prey on citizens most vulnerable to their intense pressure: the elderly. Please do your job and protect the citizens of this country.
