Before the do-not-call list, I was receiving upwards of 20 calls a day from salesmen wanting to waste my time. No matter how many times I asked to be removed from their calling lists, more would just pop up. At times, I even considered changing my phone number as it'd gotten to the point I never answered the phone anymore, I just let it go straight to voice mail. After the do-not-call list, my calls went to zero. Yes, zero. Every other month, I get a chairty organization call, but that's it. You have no idea how much the do-not-call list has improved my life, when I pick up the phone, I'm pretty much guarenteed that the call is for me, not a sales statistic. Including extra flexibility, making it legal for MACHINES to bother me, sickens me. I beg you, do not take a step backwards. For the consumers sake.
