|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:The "Do Not Call" list should NOT be opened to recorded messages. This defeats the purpose of the "Do Not Call" list. Persons who have submited themselves to this list have done so to stop telemarketing calls. Not because it's a human calling. They hang up on them just the same. Rather, it's the distrubance itself. The intrusion into ones home. These are the reasons why people sign up. Opening the do not call list to prerecorded messages defeats it's purpose.
