I am against easing any current restrictions on telemarketers. I work from home and a ringing phone is a distraction and annoyance. I will actively seek to end any relationship with any company who insists on using the telephone to sell me anything. I have never bought anything over the phone and will never do so in the future. Telemarketers are a parasitic industry and I would be happy if the entire industry ceased to exist.
