People who sign up to be on the no-call list, mean it! We don't want ANY telemarketing calls. Using the term 'established business relationship' is too vague and will be abused by telemarketers. It makes me sick that a measure like this even comes on the table at all. If the government continues to bow to every whim that a large organization with money initiates soon the government will simply become a tool of corporations and advertisers and not the people it was meant to serve. We are already innundated with an excessive amount of advertising, we don't need the tools of communication brought to its knees by abusing it with advertising. Both email and telephone systems will eventually fail as communication systems once they become too overrun with advertising. If we lose our communications to all advertising transmissions it could be disastrous for the entire infrastructure of the United States. Changes to progressive laws to weaken them put us on a slippery slope....a slope that goes to only one place....a government that no longer serves the people, but only serves large entities of money..and when that happens the government and the country's economic powers will be overrun with revolution. People will take a lot of abuse, but eventually they only take so much. Telemarketing calls are undesireable, I beg you to not alter the law, I like to use my phone....and don't want to shut it off because I only get telemarketing calls....even from companies with a so called 'established business relationship' they have with me.
