Comments:

I am profoundly opposed to this regulation change. The Do Not Call List should not be opened to allow marketers to use automated systems to contact people who are on the list, even if they do have a 'pre-existing business relationship'. Automating these calls wastes my time and my resources, while at the same time increasing the amount of effort I must take to avoid further unwanted calls. Automated calls will require me to make additional phone calls in order to be placed on each individual company's Do Not Call lists. In the case of 3rd parties acting for a 'pre-existing relationship' company, I will need to make multiple calls to prevent further unsolicited calls from a party and their agents. Instead of weakening the Do Not Call List regulations, please help us by strengthening the regulations and their enforcement. Suggested improvements: - Allow individuals to stop calls from Charitable Organizations - More frequently publish the abuse reporting phone and email information. - Increase the penalties for violation of Do Not Call List regulations. Sincerely, Tim Morgan
