I am not in favor of allowing telemarketing companies to send pre-recorded messages to customers or those with they have existing business relationships. These prerecorded calls are particularly annoying because there is no human to tell to put me on the Do Not Call list. I understand that I will have the ability to opt out of receiving further calls, but I do not want to have to do that. I am already doing that with unsolicited spam emails and faxes. It requires constant vigiliance to remain free of these nuisances. There is no reason for me as a consumer to want these calls - this change only benefits the telemarketers. The Do Not Call Registry is one of the best things that the government has done for consumers. It has given me back the peace and privacy in my own home that I deserve. Please do not change these rules.
