I read with some horror that you are considering creating a loophole in the Do Not Call regulation, allowing taped phone calls, at the instigation of a Telemarketing Trade Association. My husband and I are ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that, in doing so, the desires and needs of CITIZENS will not be served. If the telemarketing association is convinced that we want to hear their intrusive messages, let them promote an OPT IN (ha!). The FTC is supposed to be looking out for OUR interests--we are the taxpayers--and we resoundlingly vote NO NO NO NO NO NO NO., DON'T SELL OUT!!
