The first good law to protect consumers in years, and you want to take out the teeth! What part of "do not call" did you think we didn't really mean? It's not enough I get constant calls from politicians and charities. Now you want to subject consumers to recorded messages from any "business" we happened to walk past - and you cannot tell them not to call again, ever in this lifetime! Consumers are barraged with advertising mail, spam email messages, is there no place in our home we can get away from it? I have had the first peace in years since this law was passed. If you open it up again, I swear I will rip out my phone and go back to the dark ages!
