Comments:
We do not want to be hassled with pre-recorded telephone messages. That would be virtually as annoying as having a live person call. We would still have to get up and answer the telephone and then hang up as soon as we determined it was a pre-recorded message. That ties up our telephone when we could be waiting for our doctor to return a call or for something else important. We do not pay our expensive telephone bill each month to be bothered by telemarketers. The only reason you could possibly be considering such a change is a campaign by lobbyists representing telemarketers. The change certainly would not benefit the public.
