I am opposed to the suggested loophole for companies to sneak around, legally, the national Do Not Call registry. I am an Internet savvy citizen. If I wish to locate information, learn about new deals, etc. I know where to go to find them. In no time, companies who wish to 'spam' people would 'discover' many ways in which those people are 'connected' to their business and harass the individuals in question, thus making the Do Not Call list somewhat pointless. This sort of loophole could be very easily abused, as well, via Internet Telephony, making the noise ratio in it comparable or perhaps even more, than regular e-mail. I sincerely hope that this loop hole is not permitted.
