Comments:
I emphatically object to ANY changes in anti-telemarketing rules or interpretations that would bring ANY more unsolicited phone calls or recorded voicemail messages into our house on the phone line that WE pay for. We don't want to receive ANY unsolicited advertising on the telephone, including any from companies with which we do business already. Then we'd have to take the time and trouble to opt out with each company individually. Please don't inflict this on us. Businesses can mail ads to us if they wish by U.S. Postal Service, but NO PHONE CALLS. How can the FTC be even THINKING of caving in to the wishes of the Direct Marketing Association?! Our quality of life has improved immeasurably since we opted out to stop getting 1-3 phone calls per day of unsolicited advertising on our telephone. M. Ziegler
