|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:PLEASE do NOT make/revise any rules/laws that might increase telemarketing calls! I pay for my phone service, not the telemarketing companies; therefore, they do not have the right to use my service unless I (not anyone else) specifically give them that right. I see no reason that charities and political entities are exempted from the Do Not Call Registry and would like to see them banned also. It is much easier and less intrusive for me to dump a piece of unwanted mail in the trash when sorting through it at MY convenience than to have an unsolicited telephone caller interupt whatever I am doing with a message I would dump.
