I strongly oppose the amendment proposed by the DMA. The "do not call list" was the one unqualified government success in recent memory. The modifications within the amendment would weaken the original intent as to render the provision useless. The FTC needs to reflect the overwhelming desires of consumers in this matter and not pander to those who now must find means other than annoying people in their homes to generate business.
